We are a group of amateur radio enthusiasts who enjoy communicating worldwide but are also available to provide emergency and backup safety communications to organisations such as SES, Sporting Clubs, Scouts, etc.
It is a little known fact that amateur radio has been helping out with vital communications around the world when all other forms of communications fail. We have a close association with the Scouts.
The Caboolture Radio Club Inc caters for both amateur and CB radio enthusiasts and has a WIA accredited assessor and can arrange exams for the Foundation, Standard and Advanced Class licences.
Repeater
The club 2 meter repeater is located at Ocean View and has been kindly provided free of charge by Mark Kyle Communications and Danny Granger VK4KI. The frequency is 146.625 Mhz negative offset.
Our Logo
The club logo was derived from the fact that Caboolture means "Land of the Carpet Python" and in fact there are a lot of them around the area. Actually they are quite harmless to humans.
The Club is open every Monday and Saturday morning from 9am to 1pm so please drop in for a coffee and chat and see what's happening.
Our membership fees are $20 per year single and $25 per year family
